Middle School PE Resources
Our middle school assessment tool works closely with the Key Stage Two and Three matrixes. This enables the PE teacher, SSCO’s, HofPE and PDM to track, monitor and identify their students progression within Physical Education and is ideal for any PE department. This Assessment tool now provides software to initialise the assessment of your pupils’ performance, levels, skills, knowledge, understanding, acquiring and developing in Key Stage Two. Our Middle School PE Quick and Easy Assessment matrix and software calculates everything regarding assessment in years 5, 6, 7 and 8 through essential formulae. You just type it in from 1c all the way to 8 plus and all the percentages, value added, end of key stage levels, Yellis, Middis and Fischer Family Trust Data, and predicted levels are calculated.

The software is great for use when collecting information regarding group, streaming, setting, pupils reports, parents evenings or meetings. You can also assess your pupils’ performances against other pupils, other groups in the school, national averages and much more. The following information gives you important information for the progression throughout the middle school years into Key stage 3 and 4 in comparison to Maths, English and Science. You can now follow the progress of up to 360 students per year on each matrix throughout KS2 and into KS3

THE MIDDLE SCHOOL PE ASSESSMENT MATRIX IS DESIGNED TO SERVE A NUMBER OF PURPOSES

  • Provide a central location to store assessment data on a specific group.
  • Remove any unnecessary and difficult to access paper records.
  • Monitor individual and group progress during Key Stage two into key stage 3 in various      activities
  • Enables SSCO’s, PDM’s and PE staff to track and monitor progress in commitment to      target setting and group administration in Middle school and KS3 environments
  • Make use of baseline data in predicting an end of key stage level in accordance to both     Yellis, Middis and FFT.
  • Calculating value added. The matrix is based in Microsoft Excel and should be opened as a     usual excel file. As the matrix relies on a large number of complex formulae it is essential that     these are not deleted when entering data.
