"Thank you for the success we had this year with the PE Revision software. I had a particularly challenging group this year and it was difficult to get them motivated to revise or complete tests. The use of PE Revision motivated these pupils via the use of the games to revise and for extended periods of time. Many of the boys became more engaged in their learning and succeeded in achieving high scores on the online tests, which in turn further motivated them to complete more. Overall, their learning improved as did their ability to recall information, with many boys accessing the software in their own time- often out of school hours. "As a customer of the PE Office I would like to endorse their products wholeheartedly and without reservation. We have purchased several of the Schemes of Work and lesson plan packages and they have benefited the PE faculty greatly in terms of having a consistent format and links between the SOW, individual lesson plans and National Curriculum programmes of study. This has been useful in terms of new members of staff joining the faculty and having a clear picture of what is expected in terms of lesson planning and delivery. They can be used as exemplars, and a good starting point for lessons, as individual teachers can then edit them to suit their own needs as they are in Word format. We have also purchased the OCR GCSE and core KS3 & KS4 Assessment packages. Once again these tools have proved invaluable in recording and predicting grades for exam cohorts and general teaching groups. The accuracy has been excellent in the OCR package, with very reliable predicted grades being generated and this has allowed teaching staff to amend teaching resources for particular parts of the course that have been highlighted as a weaker area. The core PE assessment package is great for Parents Evenings as all assessments can be shown together and individual print outs can be given to students and parents to take away on the evening. Alongside the assessment packages we have also recently purchase the baseline tests which have been useful to give the faculty a clear starting point, in terms of level of physical ability, of new students arriving at our college. This means that every Yr 7 student has a level to work from and once again allows us to group by ability later on in the key stage."
